The Lights Up, moniker of San Francisco-based musician Daniel Ward, will release a brand new four track EP entitled ‘Impressions’ on April 21, 2017. The EP was recorded at Faultline Studios and The Tasting Room Annex in San Francisco. Today he shares his first single, ‘Circling’.
About the EP Daniel said: “I'm really excited to be putting these out! I recorded them over several days in December and January. I thought about putting off their release until I could make it into a full record, but I think these songs fit together well as an EP and I’m glad to put them out in that form.”
The Impressions EP opens with ‘Circling’ featuring expansive, shoegaze guitars, and is available to listen to HERE. ‘Heart Beating’ follows with a more intense energy. ‘Copper Wire’, and ‘Shadows’ combine shimmering riffs and deeply personal lyrics. The EP was mixed in London by producer Chris Brown who has worked with the likes of Ride and Gang of Four.
